Alchemy of Nature will be opening at The Cardinal Gallery, in Toronto on September 10. I’ll be showing my tricolor gum prints of the NC landscape, alongside Christine Fitzgerald and Bob Carnie, both of whom will be showing scenes of nature taken within their native Canada, also printed in 19th century photographic printing processes..

I am thrilled to have my handmade artist book, Murmuration (Bird Box) accepted into the 2022 Members’ Juried Exhibition at the Center for Photographic Art, in Carmel, California. The exhibit, juried by Christa Dix, Executive Director of the Griffin Museum of Photography, opens on April 9 and runs through May 8. And I am doubly thrilled to have this image among the 4 on the postcard announcement!
This is such an honor, and I am absolutely thrilled with this cover image of one of my chlorophyll prints on the just released issue (#260) of Black+White Photography Magazine (UK). I am so honored to have some of my tricolor gum bichromate work from ‘The Old Garden’ series and one of my cyanotype handmade artist books included in the 2021 Lishui Photography Festival in Lishui, Zhejiang, China, in the amazing Alternative Photography Exhibition, "Reflections and Innovations: Contemporary Practices of Historical Processes," held at the Lishui Museum. And what an astonishing line-up of artists- historical to contemporary! I am so proud to be included. An enormous thank you to HengLi Ge for this invitation, and also to Nai Kong. Special appreciation to Professor Zhong Jiangming, of Nanjing University of Arts, for organizing it all. This exhibition will be on exhibit through 2021.
I was also honored to be included as a panelist on the Zoom discussion which took place on Saturday morning in China (Friday night our time). I believe there will be a recording of this posted shortly. Thanks also to Sam Wang for overseeing this panel so expertly- and also to Ellie Young for her support of my work.
Congratulations to all involved in the conception and building of the new Lishui International Handmade Photography Center. I am so excited to see this wonderful book, which just arrived on my doorstep a few days ago. Enormous appreciation to Jean-Charles Trebbi for including me in his beautiful how-to book on the art of origami, specifically in book-making. So perfectly illustrated and with such inventive and creative ideas.
I am truly honored to have one of my cyanotype origami books included, and I love that it’s all in French. English and Spanish versions will become available soon.
I’m extremely happy to have three of my gum bichromate prints/images currently hanging on the walls of Art Intersection’s Light Sensitive Exhibition, which celebrates the art of the handcrafted print. The exhibition opened in Gilbert, Arizona on October 9 and continues through November 20. And I am thrilled and truly honored to learn that one of my images, ‘MilkWeed Pod,’ was given The Award of Excellence. Enormous thank you to the very talented Brian Taylor who juried this show, and to Alan Fitzgerald and his tireless team at AI. Wish I could be there to see it all!
