I find the organic nature of chlorophyll printing seductive. Leaves from my backyard, endless hours of sunlight, and a positive image on transparency- sandwiched between 2 pieces of glass- are all I need. Well, that-- and time. The beauty, simplicity, and ephemerality of chlorophyll printing seems just about right during these many months of lockdown, when time is all we have. Arranging these figurative images within the restrictive confines of the leaf's shape serves as a metaphor, offering just one interpretation of a life- that no matter how oddly shaped or seemingly marred-- it remains within the subjective confines of an imperfect kind of beauty.
